No. homosexuality is sinful, there is no doubt of that. But so is drinking too much, smoking, cursing, stealing, speeding.

I came across something which made me think. It stated something along the lines with, a person may have feelings for the same sex and therefore consider themselves gay cause they have no feelings for the opposite sex. However, this person stated that they were a christian and cannot take it any further and act out on the feelings.
I agree with this person. To have feelings but not act on them (based on Christ's teachings) is what separates Christians from everyone else.
Yes but I also think that if you say you are a christian then I don't think you should be living an active life as a gay person. same as all sin. a christian strives to change and be more like Christ each day. not saying we don't mess up and ask for forgiveness. i am a sinner saved by grace.

If an alcoholic becomes a Christian does he seizing being an alcoholic. I believe Christ calls us where we are at and calls us to be witnesses to those who run in our cycle. Our message to girls involved in the industry when we meet with them is that they have never done anything so wrong or gone so far that God does not love them and will not forgive them. Of course, this assumes that the “farthest” sins one can engage in exist only in their environment. Truthfully, we all go too far. God does not distinguish one sin worse than another. Let's think about it…
How far is too far when I hurt others with my words?
How far is too far when I gossip about another?
How far is too far when I judge others?
There is not one among us who can say they have not struggled in one or more of these areas, all of which, God addresses in his word in addition to sexual sin.
The question is, "how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is what the scriptures mean when they say, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

To think that God looks more favorably on any individual because they are "only" slandering their neighbor with gossip instead of taking their clothes off for money is simply not scriptural. The story of the woman caught in adultery in John 8 is a perfect example of how Jesus sees sin and uses the strategy of love rather than judgment and condemnation.
As Jesus was speaking, the teachers of religious law and Pharisees brought a woman caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd. "Teacher", they said to Jesus, "this woman was caught in the very act of adultery. The Law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?"…They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, "All right, stone her. But let those who have never sinned throw the first stones!"…When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. Then Jesus stood up again and said to her, "Where are your accusers? Didn't even one of them condemn you?" "No, Lord," she said. And Jesus said, "neither do I. Go and sin no more."
The good news is that God desires to forgive everyone. Romans10 explains that "anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." It is time to step up and fulfill God's purpose for our lives. It is time to reach out in a nonjudgmental way and offer the message of forgiveness to everyone. God wants the "bad girl" taking her clothes off to be a part of his kingdom just as much as he wants you!
Satan would love for Christians to give up and believe there are just some people that are not reachable or worthy of our time. But Jesus made sure he made time for the "worst" sinners of his time. Didn't he go to Matthew's house with the prostitutes and the tax collectors? Didn't he speak of forgiveness to the woman at the well? He set the example…now it's time to follow!
Christian = Follower of Christ.
Within that context there are literally thousands of interpretations of what it means to follow Christ.
So I guess my answer would be no, not an oxymoron in the general sense, but I'm sure for some it may well be. For myself and my own beleifs, still not an oxymoron. Nobody living is living a perfect life. If they think they are they're fooling themselves.
If my theology says I can't eat meat and follow Christ, are you no longer a Christian because yours says you can? I don't think so.
I think that's up to God.
i am not thinking it is an oxymoron either, but if we are "real" christians, then we will be studying the word. this means that we are going to learn what God wants for us and how we are to act. I should change my old ways and become new. No longer should i sin. Sure i will mess up. Lie, steal, cheat, gossip, adultery, etc. i believe that these are all the same sin in God's eye. But to say that you are a Christian and you are a career criminal is not right. Same is living a homosexual lifestyle. Yes, before God came into one's life you may have been a career criminal, but now you are reborn and you live for Him. You will not continue to live in sin because you want to. You will want to change. Am I making sense? Our church doors are open to all. But it is there where we encourage/help each other to live a new life with Jesus.
